How should I store a handbag?

Store the bag upright, not under a stack of other bags. Leave the bottom flat. A base shaper liner stays in the bag so the base does not collapse while it sits.

Skip newspaper. Ink can transfer to the lining and to light leather. A dust bag keeps dust off the outside. Princess Cut does not sell dust bags. The shaper is only the liner for the bottom.

Do not force a hobo into a stiff box. Support the bottom and let the bag keep its own line. An Artsy can stay a hobo. A Speedy can keep the satchel shape. The shaper's job is the base, not a new silhouette.

A Le Pliage is made to fold. If you are packing it flat, take the shaper out. If you are storing it ready to carry, leave the shaper in so the bottom stays flat.

Should I stuff a handbag with tissue?

Tissue can fill the body of a bag in storage. It is not a flat base. The base shaper is what keeps the bottom from folding.

Can I store a purse with newspaper inside?

No. Newspaper ink can transfer. Use the base shaper for the bottom, and a dust bag for dust.

Do I leave the shaper in the bag while it is stored?

Yes, if you want the bottom to stay flat. Take it out of a Le Pliage only when you want that bag folded flat.
