Purse care

How do I make my purse last longer?

A purse lasts longer when the base is not creased shut every day, when the bag is not packed until the seams strain, and when it can rest with the bottom flat. The base shaper liner is the part of that care this shop sells.

Leave rain covers, leather cream, and a dust bag to the care of the bag itself. Princess Cut does not sell those. What the shaper does is keep the bottom from collapsing, so the bag holds its shape while you carry it and while it sits.

A bag that still holds its shape shows that the base was supported. Once a soft base has collapsed and the crease is set, the shaper keeps it from folding further. It does not undo a crease that is already there.

Order the shaper for the bag you own. A Speedy 30 and a Neverfull MM are different cuts. The handbag is not included. Princess Cut Handbags is not affiliated with any bag manufacturer.

How do I make my handbag last longer?

Keep the bottom flat, do not overfill the bag, and do not store it with the base folded under a pile. A base shaper liner is the piece that keeps the bottom flat. It does not replace a dust bag or leather care.

Does a base shaper help a designer bag last?

It helps the part that fails first on a soft bag: the base. The bottom stays flat, so the bag holds its shape instead of sitting in a crease.

What does a base shaper not do?

It does not stop rain, strap wear, or scuffs on the outside corners. It is not a pocket organizer. It is the liner for the bottom of the named bag.
